not for the project. today i went to amazing garden near Penryn. The field of violets. I tried to do some cheesy photos, so, i could send them to my granny and if she likes put them on the wall, what they have done with some of my ‘nature/landscape/macro/shizzy’ stuff. But,oh well, unfortunately nothing ‘nice’  has come out! I was too excited of the beauty around me that I jsut wanted to hear the click-click-click noise over and over. Hopefully,maybe some digital rubbish will be ok, ! :D
BUT IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUl, or should I say MAGNIFICENT. ;)

Taken in Latvia for the project, but oh dear gosh I always egt these broken cameras and I always tend to make the film to 'crush' down, so, I don't even try again to use it. So, therefore I prefer digital, even though I love film,but I prefer disposal cameras instead of some expensive 120mm ones. (:

two days ago Janina helped me to make tissue flowers (soon to be used for images), and I asked her if I can take few portraits of her too, because she is this beautiful wild child natural looking girl :)

She is also amazing photographer, the best one polaroid capturer : Janina Fleckhaus

So, here is all of them. I didn't want to upload only the ones I like 101%, I like to show all the ones I chose to be OK and from each 'pair' there is only ONE I like and I think has came out ok, obv I see these things I could change and re-do, but I don't believe in re-doing image/idea. :)

I dont’  know how the major project will be exhibited, I don’t know what am I going to have on the last week (hopefully I manage to do portraits I need), but the only thing I knew from beginning was that this project is dedicated to my dearest grandfather who’s gone now, but has stayed very deeply in my heart. This is my last uni project, and the first project he won’t see. He was my biggest fan, he was always following my blogs, sent me a message or called me to say he liked some new stuff. Once he said he didnt like anything (last year), then it really shaked me to wake up and see how bored I was. All my education is only because of him, otherwise I would never have been here to meet these amazing people I know from Falmouth, and also it has been amazing experience to me, only obviously it gets me down as these two last years has been very depressive because of what was going on with my grandad. It shocked me that it happened so soon, as soon as I left Latvia and returned here that he even didnt read my last email where I said how much I loved him. But he knows.  I loved and I will always love him much, he will always stay in my heart and mind. he was not just a grandfather,but a dad to me. Lai vieglas smiltis,milu.

My first day when it’s ‘different’. But I am doing alright. OBV (;)) I cant hide that I am not amazingly cheeerful and etc with people who i jsut know but not close enough to be telling what’ has happened jsut like straight away standing in the corridor….  (btw, i don’t understand why jsut for politeness you ask me howwashomeandeasteranddidyouhavegoodtime?lol at home we dont do that!) Ok whatever, BUT thanks to these two creeps and baby boyz I’ve gone through the worst part of accepting He is not here, by smiling and lolling, and laughing from heart. We all know that laughing is THE BEST MEDICINE.

Espressini cafe is my favourite cafe in Falmouth. The atmosphere always is great to spend more than 3h... yes, I can do it. I just love to do my sketchbooks somewhere else isntead of being home or in university. So, finally there is this cafe which sort of gives me a feeling I am somewhere in bigcity, for example, in London but in one of those areas like Soho, or smth, sitting there, drinking my awesome coffee and eating the best italian cheesytomato sandwich!

The owner even makes his own sandwiches every morning! And he can talk so much about coffee, they use differnt type beans and etc. I still haven't understood all that bit what they do/use for their coffee.. Should ask  next time!

Everything about this cafe is great. And I know it has bright future :)

 

I asked him if I can do some photos in their cafe- a sort of practise for myself as commercial photogrpahy etc. And turned out he actually needed some, so, uh-oh a bit pressure on me to make good photos... I hope he will like at least 5, if I like 10, he msut like 3 of them! So, fingers crossed :) I want to become better at these sort of photogrpahy shots! Hopefully, after uni I will have possibility to do.. (:

 

 

and p.s. there are still some shots/ideas/usuall stuff I didnt manage to do... The moment when the steams are around the coffee cup when they make coffee or is that hot milk on that machine, I dont know what they do then, I havent been a barista, but.... That one special moment- havent captured!

I had a short walk to pendennis castle. i was in a search for a tree where i could put my handmade earrings and take photos of them. I found a beauitful one... With white flowers, and Robin! That lil sneaky Robin bird reminded me my sneaky+creepy stalker Alastair, because both of them are stalkers and Ally has that orange/yellow jumper he wears too haha.

I am going through my hard driver which i have named ‘photolove’. it’s a monster full of my photographs since 2004… It’s my precious, like Gollum had his ring. The photos I see and the folders I find, makes me smile or embarrass, or feel nostalgic of time that has gone. Especially when I see the first year photos. Folder ‘october’  is full of worth marine history photography student stuff.

(well, if at UCF between photogrpahy courses they are laughing about us being naked most of time,then,sorry,I had a big giggle when these students I heard showing off who knows which seaweed it is and its description. Not My cuppa tea.)  

And my second year photos of October is full of ‘club i’. Hmmm. From being alone in the countryside, with the only neighbors - cornish cows and bulls (ahem, chased me twice!) to the party zone! haha.

Now I onyl wish that all those images I’ve taken were used film camera. Because it feels like I am a bad student that I have more digital than film, hearing these talks in the uni. I used to be like omfgdigisucksbutitseasier person too. Now - it does not matter. As long as you produce a good,nice, looovely, great piece of art/work/project, you’re cool!

haha. welll these photos are just as ‘oh shitneed to finish film camera due in tomorrow’. Last year 2011, 1st of May.
